CAFÉ BRUNNER

This feasibility study was designed as part of a commission from the Brunner family in the Architekturbüro Bittner.

The family's traditional metal workshop next to one of the city tower is empty and is to be made accessible to the public. The adjoining residential building is to be demolished, but made of wood again. The building is supplemented by a pavilion, which is intended to delimit the café forecourt. Rental apartments will be built on the upper floor of the main building. A deliberate distance is taken from the tower in order to visibly separate the buildings. Used materials will be wood, glass and metall.
